Cute vanity plate. (MB) Playing catch-up with the blog. This has been a month of visiting best friend who became very ill the day before Thanksgiving. Saw her two days before Christmas on a good day for her. She had all of her family at her place for the Holidays and got to meet her first Great Grandbaby (boy) for the 1st time.
This is a gift from the East Coast (MB) My sister doesn't know that I wear Rick's old "holey" socks for slippers. Wow, that's having good vibes. Stay away, PETA, these are faux fur(and warm)!
The last lap blankets delivered today (MB) These are crocheted for a local convalescent home during a time-out from scarves for St. Anthony's Christmas dinner.
Surprised at how nice it looks? (MB) 1 strand of lights, bows, pepper berries compliments of CALTRANS not pruning in Niles Canyon, 3 Pittsburgh pewter and 1 NYC ornaments, 1 strand of red glass beads, and candy canes.
Possibly the world's smallest Christmas Tree (MB) Not quite the last tree on the lot but definitely a Charlie Brown. It cried out and said that it needed a loving home for the Holidays. This tree is so small it's sitting on top of a box on top of a table! It's so small that it can be held aloft with one hand. It's the right size for us this year - for many, many reasons.
Fun at the tree lot (KB photo) It all has to do with being the driver and asking your passenger to take the photo! The lot has a mini petting zoo, also.
The Quail Family is back (MB) Sorry about the out of focus line across the image. Couldn't raise the miniblinds or the quail would bolt. Had to shoot through them-hence the blur.
Nature takes its course (MB) Must confess - this was taken before yesterday's fallen leaves- couldn't resist putting it into the blog because we don't usually see vultures with their dinner up close and personal. Hope it wasn't my friend from Nov. 12th.
Year 2 Day 153 Remember the pretty red leaves on the Mexican Hat (Ratibida columnaris)? (MB) Well, there comes a time when all must fall. And this is before the wind storm.
Year 2 Day 150 I know, I know, they're almost identical, lousy shots of the Goodyear Blimp passing over the house on the way to televise the Notre Dame Stanford Game. So sue me! (MB)
Always seem to be going to the transfer station (MB) Plastic, newspaper, magazines, shredded paper- Added feature on this trip was seeing green waste being scrutinized by the local flock of gulls.
