Year 2 Day 153 Remember the pretty red leaves on the Mexican Hat (Ratibida columnaris)? (MB) Well, there comes a time when all must fall. And this is before the wind storm.
Year 2 Day 150 I know, I know, they're almost identical, lousy shots of the Goodyear Blimp passing over the house on the way to televise the Notre Dame Stanford Game. So sue me! (MB)
Always seem to be going to the transfer station (MB) Plastic, newspaper, magazines, shredded paper- Added feature on this trip was seeing green waste being scrutinized by the local flock of gulls.
A few more Fall leaves (MB) Only know the plant as Mexican Hat (Ratibida columnaris) Tiny white flowers in spring, Fall is when the fruit and leaves are very showy. Makes a nice hedge.
Sometimes you get what you ask for! (MB) Friend always asks for flavored coffee creamer at a restaurant that that doesn't stock it. Long story-short, the manager came over with some for her to use. M-m-m-m-m!
Had a chance to goof around with these Lego-type foam toys. Wish they were around when the kids were younger. The small ones are about 5x5x3. Had fun with them. You're never too old to play!
Festive window seen at a laaarge espresso establishment (MB) Sorry snowboarders & skiers, guess it has to do with not being able to board & stick with a mocha in your hand!
Another scarf ready to go (MB) This one is really soft, a pretty blue edge on both sides and rows of varigated eyelash yarn in between the plain rows. From a distance it looks like tuffs of yarn. Hope someone likes it.
My neat sweatshirt garnered raves at the market. (MB) Ironed on trees, hand-stitched around edges with a few extra star-like embellishments at branch ends like candles. The sleeves have folded over squares hand stitched in place and novelty buttons added to anchor them in place. One shopper took cell photos! My Sis' idea and skills.
Fall (noun) out of my window! (MB) Much better than Fall (verb) out of my window! The sense of humor has taken a strange twist after the Catnip plate. Maybe I just need to sit in the window like yesterday's post!
Pondering Vanity Plates (MB) It was both the art work on and the Alaska plate that caught my eye. You don't see a whole lot of Alaska plates here...kinda like $2 bills. Then the alphanumerics on the plate registered. So, now pondering whether the 1 in "CATN1P" means someone else has "CATNIP" or if it stands as it reads and refers to owner and feline personal plumbing. No offense intended to man or beast. Besides, the Steelers had won!
Telephoto was not used for this (MB) Realized the squirrel feeder was empty and she was looking for someone to fill it. I put a handful of sunflower seeds on the fence while I cleaned and refilled the feeder. She never moved while I worked only two feet away from her.
Two more scarves done (MB) Thirteen done so far-although some need fringe and a few need beading. Getting a bit antsy this year about reaching my goal. Fingers crossed!
