Once a year in November the light is turned on and the rotation is stopped for 15 minutes.
Many photographers show up to capture the rays of light around the lighthouse.
For a good display of rays, there needs to be a layer of fog.
It was actually more fun to see all of the camera gear that was paraded out.
It's a wonder the weight of the gear didn't sink us into the Pacific!
